*sigh* I give up...for now.

This time, my lack of blogging isn't because I've forgotten to blog. It's because life, again, has not been the most cooperative, and my inspiration for Crescent Hills has fallen flat. It would be a lot easier for me if I just continued to play my sims and blog about that (while entering CAW whenever I feel my mind is fresh enough) as opposed to focusing full-speed ahead on CAW and having an extreme lack of updates because I haven't been in CAW in probably about a month.

Right now I am downloading money mods to help with the "sim-to-sim" vibe I want , because it was genius, it made the game fun, and I haven't seen many Sim-To-Sim sites for the sims 3 yet in that style, and I'd looove to give it a go. It made gameplay in TS2 interesting, and unfortunately, by the time I already got into the style of s-to-s writing and playing, TS3 came out. I'm also cleansing my game files of cc I don't really use, so that there's room for the mods without noticeable lag.

The way I started this project in TS2 was that there would be six founders, and they would all be young adults. One for each career path, basically. :) One would specialize in medicine, one would specialize in crime-fighting, one would specialize in business, and one would specialize in politics. Slowly but surely, I worked in the crime, music, art, and education careers. I will be following a similar suit for TS3, and hopefully it will work out well. :) A really good mod I found would be this: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=391254. I haven't tested it out yet, but it'll help with the taking of loans and such. I try to make it pretty realistic, because then it gets fun.

Off to go play now, and hopefully, I'll be able to get some pics up tomorrow! :)

  1. I wouldn't worry about CAW for now; just enjoy yourself & play!

What exactly is this sim-to-sim thing you're talking about? I've never heard of it. I followed the link you gave, but I still don't understand what it is exactly.

  2. It's kind of a blogging format where you put yourself into the minds of your sims, and you tell their story as if it were yours I guess? I honestly can't explain it, lol. It's basically set on making the TS2 "neighborhoods" as similar to actual neighborhoods as possible. Some sims were even "flying" from one neighborhood to another, and "communicating" through a forum, lol! There's the hood spokesperson (the person who does most of the talking and the "traveling), it's just...really fun, and unfortunately, I can't describe it. Another sim-to-sim site I love would be Simmington Hills http://simmingtonhills.webs.com/ . It's a TS2 site, but entertaining nonetheless. Did I answer your question a bit? lol

And I finally cracked open WA, and it's installing right now. I can't wait to play!

  3. Also, here's one of my old sim-to-sim neighborhoods named "Crescent County" http://thecountypost.blogspot.com/

  4. Doing CAW is very labour intensive. I'd rather jump in the game and have fun.

Sim-to-Sim sounds like an interesting blog style. Hope you post a bit.

  5. Life does get in the way.

Looking forward to reading your story.

Once Ambitions comes out, I have a feeling a lot of people will give up on CAW. If it's not fun, I'm not doing it, and to me CAW wasn't fun. When I have days off from work and pop that disk into the computer I want to relax and enjoy it.

  6. Yeah, I agree. I decided to take a break from caw and just play the game, and it was awesome! I'll have a little storybook theme for you guys today, in place of the sim-to-sim blogging style since I got carried away with one of my families, lol. Ambitions sounds fun, and I love the fact that my sims can be firefighters now. I think I'll go ahead and get it. :)

  7. I have a habit of letting the game lead me and sometimes I get into a sim or family and just can't let go.

I have no idea what occupation I want a sim to be in when Ambitions is released. Knowing me, I'll probably be all over the place. I haven't even tried all the jobs in the base game yet.

Good to see you're having fun with the game now.

  8. haha, I'd definitely try the P.I. career first. I'm really curious to see just how involved the career really is.
